Join the team building the shared layer of space.
Arqlius is founder-led by the program's systems architect and commercial lead. We are now recruiting the founding technical team and advisory board — flight-heritage specialists who will build what the engineering baseline already defines. These are the company's first and most important seats, and they are open.
Defined seats, not a gap.
The hard, novel part of this company — the neutral coordination and settlement that lets rival operators share one facility — is already built and proven inside the Vexidus ecosystem. The engineering baseline for Arqlius One is frozen and configuration-controlled. What comes next is a small, senior team to carry that baseline to flight.
We're pre-seed, and honest about it. The founding Chief Engineer offer is signed now and funded at close; advisory seats are open today.
Founding Chief Engineer & Technical Lead
The single most important role at Arqlius today. You take ownership of the engineering baseline, build the team around it, and become the technical face of the company.
A salaried, founding-level position that begins at pre-seed close. The offer is signed now, contingent on funding — so the person is chosen before the capital lands, and starts on day one of the operating company.
What you'll own
- The engineering baseline and its change control
- Building and leading the founding engineering team
- Supplier and analysis strategy for the first hardware tranche
- The technical face of Arqlius in investor diligence and tenant integration discussions
What we're looking for
- 12+ years across spacecraft or station systems engineering
- At least one system owned through CDR and flight — or flight-equivalent — qualification
- Heritage in commercial station systems, visiting-vehicle integration, or docking / berthing (IDSS / IDA)
- A track record of hiring and leading engineers — this is a team-building role, not a pure IC seat
- Ready to be employee #1 in a founder-led company
- U.S.-person status (ITAR-eligible)
Three seats for people who've done this before.
Standard, equity-based advisor agreements with a light, recurring working cadence. We're looking for depth in three complementary areas — each a person who can pressure-test the baseline and open warm paths into the industry.
Station Engineering & Program Management
Senior program- or chief-engineer-level heritage — ISS, Commercial LEO Destinations, Gateway, or a prime. You've taken orbital hardware through PDR/CDR and safety review, and you can tear the engineering baseline apart in a good way.
Get in touch →Space Regulation & Government Affairs
FAA AST, FCC space bureau, or space-regulatory counsel with novel-platform licensing experience. You'll guide the authorization roadmap and sanity-check how our regulatory sequencing meets how the process actually behaves.
Get in touch →Commercial Space & Capital Markets
You've actually sold orbital capacity, payload services, or station utilization — a short list of people can say that. You'll pressure-test the early commercial economics and open warm paths to tenants and funds.
Get in touch →Houston-based, senior, and deliberately small.
Based in Houston, Texas
Engineering roles are on-site by default, at the center of the NASA JSC talent cluster. Advisory roles are remote with a light recurring cadence.
Senior by design
The founder is the systems architect and commercial lead. Early hires are trusted owners, not staff — you'll shape the team and the technical direction, not inherit them.
Equity where it counts
Pre-seed cash is honest about the stage and bridged with meaningful founding-level equity. Compensation normalizes toward market as the company funds and grows.
Introduce yourself anyway.
If you've spent a career on orbital hardware, station systems, space regulation, or commercial space and this mission resonates, we want to know you — even before the seat is written.
Introductions are handled by legal@vexidus.com — Vexidus Corporation, majority owner of Arqlius.
